LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Culinary Health Fund marked a major expansion of its health care network Thursday with the grand opening of Culinary Health Center – Tropicana, a new two-story medical facility near the Las Vegas Strip aimed at serving Las Vegas working families.
Culinary Health Fund leadership joined union leaders, elected officials, health care providers and community partners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the 98,900-square-foot center, located at Tropicana Avenue and Decatur Boulevard.
The facility is the fourth Culinary Health Center in the Las Vegas Valley. It represents nearly a decade of investment in a health care system designed around the needs of Culinary members and their families. The center is set to begin serving members Friday, Aug. 14.
The Culinary Health Fund said the Tropicana location significantly expands access to care in an area where nearly 32,000 Culinary members live nearby.
With the opening, the Culinary Health Fund now operates four strategically located health centers across the Las Vegas Valley, providing access to high-quality, affordable health care for more than 120,000 Culinary members and their dependents.
