Common Mistakes / What to Check Before Applying for UPSSSC Vidhan Bhavan Rakshak & Agnik/Agnirakshak Recruitment 2026?
- Applying without a valid PET-2025 Score Card; without this, the application will be rejected at the shortlisting stage itself.
- Selecting the wrong post (Rakshak vs. Agnik/Agnirakshak) — both have different vacancy counts and different nature of appointment (permanent vs. temporary); choose carefully.
- Entering wrong category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS); category cannot be changed after submission and mismatch with certificates at document verification leads to cancellation.
- OBC candidates from Creamy Layer applying as OBC; only non-Creamy Layer OBCs with valid and recent certificates get reservation.
- EWS candidates not holding a valid EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 29-06-2026 based on income for FY 2025-26 and valid for FY 2026-27.
- Not reconciling the fee within the deadline; application is NOT finally submitted without successful fee reconciliation — candidates must download and print the application form after fee payment.
- Not correcting application errors before the amendment last date of 06-07-2026; corrections beyond this date are not permitted.
- Ignoring negative marking — over-attempting in the written exam by guessing can sharply reduce the score; attempt only questions you are confident about.
- Failing to check the UP Government’s latest GO/orders on PwBD sub-category coding and not updating the correct disability sub-category in the application form as per the latest government notifications.
- Using an inactive mobile number or email ID registered in PET-2025; all communications, OTPs, and call letters are sent only to the PET-2025 registered contact details.
